Weekly Update

Hi everyone!

We had a great full week. Today a paper about an app that we use in the classroom came home. It is an app called SeeSaw. Periodically, we will use this to showcase work that your child has completed in the classroom and wants to share with you. Some of our class has not uploaded items yet, so hang in there. We are working on it. Homework, Phonics, and Sight word lists (if still on them) went home today. Homework and Phonics  will be attached here and uploaded to the blog too.

We reached 100% participation for Kid’s Heart Challenge! We will be getting a new kickball! Thank you! If you haven’t sent in your Christmas permission slip, please do so ASAP as Mrs. White will be holding auditions for solos. The money for the shirts are not due until November, but the permission slips are due by Monday. Next week we have some happy schedule changes!

10/31 is Halloween and Book Character Day

If your child wants to dress up as a character for the day, the cost is $1 and is a donation to the United Way.

Please do not send in weapons or masks and please wear sneakers (or bring them) as we have PE that day. Please remember to wear sneakers each PE day or bring a pair to change into. Some boots have rubber soles, but they are not PE shoes.

10/31 is also our Fall Centers day. From 1pm-2pm we will have fun activities that are “fall themed”. Thank you in advance for sending in supplies that were requested.

Please DO NOT send in candy as a snack for your child. I already talked to the students about healthy snack options. Halloween candy is a treat and it should be treated as one. They can bring in a piece of candy and consume it at lunch time or wait until the afternoon when they get home. Speaking of snacks…. I’ve noticed that many children are not bringing in a snack. Please send a snack  in EVERY day. If sending in a snack every day is troublesome, send in enough for the whole week and I will make sure your child gets something every day! No worries. J
