Weekly Update

We had a great week. I know you are looking forward to a week off. During the week there will not be homework except reading and practicing sight words. A green reading log list came home today.

Over the break, if you are cleaning out your closets, our treasure box could use some more items if you have any to donate. J

 

A look ahead:

2/26 Classes resume.

Please turn in your permission slip and donation for the GABIE bus in house field trip. There are a few needy families in First Grade, if you are able to sponsor a student, please let me know and I will send another envelope home. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Weekly Update

We had a great but busy week! I hoped your child told you all about the theater and the performance of “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.” Our next field trip will be in house next month. The G.A.B.I.E. bus will be visiting and talking about plants and agriculture of Georgia. Permission slips will go home on Monday.

Progress reports went home today. Please sign one copy, keep the other and return it. I am very happy with our progress!
Next week on Wednesday we will be exchanging valentines. Please send in your valentine boxes and cards on that day. We will be exchanging them during our day.
Also next week, we will continue with our opinion writing. Please see the flyer about sending in a collection (red paper flyer sent home last week). Your child will need a collection of about 3-5 items (related items ie… shells, rocks, small action figures).
I will update the blog and send attachments in a separate email.
I’m so excited about watching the opening ceremonies tonight! Go Team USA! I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Weekly update

We had an awesome busy week. I’m pretty sure we are all almost over being sick. Each day Mrs. Mueller and I make sure we wipe down tables and encourage frequent hand washing!

Next week we have some important happenings. I’ve listed them below.

2/5- Drummer “Mr. Dave” It is his last lesson with us. You are invited to join our last session. 9:05-9:50am

2/5 Cheeseburger Bobby’s PTSA night! 4-8pm

2/6- Field Trip to Synchronicity Theater in Atlanta. We will be leaving around 9am and then returning around 1 and will be eating in the classroom. Don’t forget to send in a lunch unless you indicated that you would be purchasing one from school.

2/9- 4 ½ week Q3 progress reports go home

2/19-2/23 NO SCHOOL- February break

Parents I need your help! We are frequently forgetting to bring a snack to school and I am completely out of all donations. If you are shopping this weekend we could really use some more! Thank you. Some suggestions are goldfish crackers, saltines, granola bars, pretzels or similar. If they are individually wrapped, that helps a lot but if  not, I have Ziploc bags here! I just really appreciate the help. J
