The holidays can be stressful to us and sometimes we forget that it can be stressful on our kiddos. I encourage everyone to take some time and give extra hugs and reminders. At school, we will be doing the same, as well as, trying to keep changes to our schedule as smooth as possible. With that being said here are the changes for next week.

No school Thursday and Friday

School resumes for students on Thursday, Jan. 4th.

I will be combining the two partial weeks into one week for learning objectives.

Math- Assessments, beginning Place Value

Phonics- long o digraphs

Marshmallow needs a home for the holidays. If you are staying in town, she would love to visit. I only ask that you are able to pick her up and return her the same way. Animals are not allowed to go home on the bus. I will take offers until Monday. If I get more than one, I will use a randomizer app to make the selection. She will also love to visit other houses over the February break and the Spring break too!

Thank you for your support and for sharing your child with me. I’m so excited about our party on Monday.

Mrs. Grecko

PS: I have completely run out of extra snacks. If you can donate some crackers or something similar I would greatly appreciate it. I think we are good for the 3 days next week so there is a lot of time to pick something up over the holidays. I know everyone can forget sometimes.

Fun fact: Did you know you can find out all about First Grade from the Cobb County Website. Here you will find resources, standards and even a copy of the report card. They recently updated the website and I find it very helpful when I’m looking into my own children’s grade level curriculum. Check it out! http://academics.cobbk12.org/
