Hi Everyone!

I hope everyone has something planned for this long weekend. I know I will be enjoying watching college football this weekend. Today I sent home homework to be completed by next Friday. We also sent home new baggy books (unless you didn’t bring yours back). We had some changes this week. Reagan and Makayla have moved and are at different schools so we are a little sad and they will be missed. We are excited that Aaban is back from his vacation and is with us again. I have purposely held off on sending home a class directory, because I knew of these changes. We will have one out to you soon.

It is very important that your child gets a good night’s rest and is on time to school. After our testing each day we will have our snack time and a little down time with quiet games to rest our brains. If your child would like to bring in a board game, puzzle, or cards to play with, they can. Please do not send in any electronics or items with violence.

Everyone,

We had a blast today at our Boosterthon Fun Run! If you are collecting money from your pledgers, please send that in ASAP. Envelopes went home last week but I do have extras if you need one.

Today we had our first buddy read. It went really well. A few friends did not bring back their baggie books. Please ALWAYS send in your baggie books on Friday. We check out new ones every Friday. If you forgot I have the books ready to exchange for your child on Monday. J We had a few turn in their homework. It is optional but I do want to recognize those who completed it. We also were tested on Sight words. If your child did not pass their test, they got their words sent back home to try again for next week. If your child passed, they have a new list. I am excited to say that we have 3 students who have already mastered their 200 sight words! Way to go!

We also did some science experiments. Ask your child about clouds and how they are formed.
