Weekly Update

We had great Fall Centers today! A huge thank you goes out to Mrs. Buck and Mrs. Bishop for helping us today. We made bats, ate monster cookies, learned how to tie shoes, practiced sight words, and measured with candy corn. YAY!

Today was also the last day for Charles. He has moved and will be attending another Cobb County School. We wish him all the best. We now have 20 students in our classroom.

Next week is a bit busy. Please check your email frequently for email blasts from the school. If you aren’t getting the email blasts, please let me know and I can update your phone number with the office.

Tuesday, 10-31- for $1 (supporting the United Way) students may wear a storybook character costume. If possible, please bring in the book that goes with your character. No masks or props should be brought to school. A flyer outlining this event went home on Thursday.

Wednesday, 11-1 is Picture Retake day. This is only for those students who were absent that day or if you are wanting a retake and you bought a packet. The original packet must be returned to have a retake.

Thursday, 11-2 is JRFH day. Please wear sneakers and clothes that are easy to jump rope in. We will be jumping at a new time 10:15-11:00 in the gym. We are asked as a class to donate bananas for a school wide snack. (see flyer)

All Jump Rope for Heart money is due this day too. After the money is collected and sent off, prizes get ordered. When the prizes come in they will be sorted and sent home. I will let you know when that happens.

All week we will be collecting food for an entire meal. Our room moms will be sending out a sign up genius so that we make sure we have everything bought for the meal. Thank you Brii and Leesa!

If at all possible, please do not send in candy as a snack. During the day we need to be our best and a healthy snack is better for our brains! Thank you. They can look forward to a sweet treat when they get home.
